Sevilla star Rafa Mir is the subject of interest by way of Serie A outfit Torino.
That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who has this evening provided an insight into ongoings behind the scenes at The Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium.
Hitman Mir, for his part, has endured something of a hit-and-miss campaign to date, restricted to a bit-part role in Andalusia.
All told, he has been afforded 14 La Liga appearances, but just three have come in the form of starts.
Still held in high regard by many across the continent, it should in turn come as little surprise to hear of interest in his services mounting ahead of next week’s winter transfer deadline.
And one such outfit expressing a keen interest in the 26-year-old come in the form of the aforementioned Torino.
As per Romano’s latest report, the Granata have made contact with Mir and his representatives, over the possibility of a move to Turin.
As of now, the process remains in the ‘early stages’, but further talks are expected over the days ahead, in the hopes of an agreement being struck.
