Sevilla want to sign former Villarreal player Cédric Bakambu, according to Superdeporte.
Bakambu, 30, could return to La Liga this January. Although the global pandemic has badly hit Spanish clubs, many are looking to make January loan signings.
The Congolese international previously had a spell at Villarreal, who he left in January 2018 for Chinese side Beijing Guoan for €40 million. His contract expires in a few days and he would be open to a return to Europe.
Sevilla Sporting Director Monchi is reportedly interested in the forward as cover for long-term absentee Erik Lamela, who will be out of action for four months after undergoing shoulder surgery.
