La Liga outfit Sevilla are ready to give the green light to the departure of defensive star Tanguy Nianzou over the coming days.
This comes amid the understanding that the Frenchman is closing on an imminent move back to his home country, with Ligue 1 side LOSC Lille.
Stopper Nianzou is for his part fresh off another frustrating campaign on the books of Sevilla in 2025/26. Owing to a string of muscular problems, the 24-year-old was restricted to just 12 league appearances, eight of which came in the form of starts.
Speculation surrounding a potential departure for Nianzou from Sevilla had in turn begun to mount over recent weeks.
And as alluded to above, on Thursday, major developments towards precisely that have been confirmed. As per a report from transfer market insider Matteo Moretto:
‘Lille are very close to signing Tanguy Nianzou Kouassi. There are very advanced negotiations between the parties.’
