Sevilla star Loic Badé speaks out on Tottenham links

Sevilla defender Loic Badé was on Thursday drawn on the ongoing speculation linking him with a move to the Premier League, with Tottenham Hotspur.

Badé, for his part, has enjoyed another impressive campaign to date in Spain, after seeing his loan move to Sevilla from Stade Rennais made permanent.

The 23-year-old has established himself as a regular starter at the heart of the Andalusians’ backline, something of a shining light amid what has proven an otherwise hugely underwhelming campaign at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán.

Such form on Badé’s part, though, has given rise to inevitable rumours of a potential Sevilla exit.

Premier League outfit Tottenham, for one, have been named as keen on the Frenchman’s signature, with a view to the 2024/25 campaign.

Faced by the media on Thursday, it therefore came as little surprise when such links were put to none other than Badé himself.

If his ensuing response is anything to go by, though, then those of a Nervionenses persuasion need not fret when it comes to the possibility of their defensive stalwart moving on…

“I feel very good here,” Badé began, as cited by Mundo Deportivo. “I’m comfortable, I’m working well, I’m trying to progress… I’m at Sevilla. I don’t know why you’re talking to me about Tottenham.”
