A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga outfit Sevilla is closing on an imminent move to the Premier League, with Bournemouth. This comes after the Cherries launched a sudden move for Juanlu this weekend.
Juanlu, for his part, played a leading role for Sevilla in the 2025/26 campaign. All told, the 22-year-old featured in 32 of the Nervionenses’ 38 league fixtures.
Along the way, he continued to showcase stellar versatility, in filling a multitude of roles from right-back to winger and even midfielder.
And as alluded to above, in the process, Juanlu evidently caught the eye of those behind the scenes at the aforementioned Bournemouth.
As per a report from market insider Fabrizio Romano, the Cherries, fresh off tying up a deal for Benfica’s António Silva, are now also in ‘advanced’ transfer talks with Sevilla:
‘Bournemouth are in advanced talks to sign Juanlu in surprise deal from Sevilla. Spanish right-back has already received the contract proposal.’
Official confirmation of the transfer could arrive as early as Sunday.
