Sevilla open talks for OGC Nice forward Kasper Dolberg

Sevilla want to sign forward Kasper Dolberg from OGC Nice, according to Matteo Moretto of Relevo.

In recent days the names of Lucas Boyé, Raúl de Tomás and Umar Sadiq have been mentioned. In the case of the Argentinian, it now looks more unlikely than ever.

Sevilla are not considering the possibility of Raúl de Tomás at the moment and, in the case of the Almería striker, Sadiq is expensive and Real Sociedad have the necessary financial backing to complete a deal.

Sevilla are now looking at Kasper Dolberg, as Muchodeporte reports.

The Nice striker, 24, has spent four seasons (including the current one) in the French league and has not performed as expected.

In the three years he has played for Nice, he has scored a total of 23 goals between Ligue 1, the Champions League and the Europa League.

However, his numbers at Ajax were different. In his three seasons in Holland, the Dane scored 23 goals in his first year (runner-up in the Europa League), six in the second and 11 in the third, in all competitions.

With a contract until 2024 with Nice, Dolberg has a market valuation of around €17m according to Transfermarkt. He also has international experience despite his young age.

Sevilla have opened negotiations with the player who could become the new number nine for Julen Lopetegui’s side.
