Sevilla on the verge of signing Tecatito Corona from FC Porto

Tecatito Corona looks set to join Sevilla on a three-and-a-half-year deal from FC Porto. The player could be in Seville tomorrow to train with his new team, according to ESPN.

Tecatito, who has been on Sevilla’s radar for a long time, ends his contract with the Portuguese giants in June and the Nervión club are hoping to sign him for a small fee, with negotiations at an advanced stage, as reported by El Desmarque.

Julen Lopetegui is a big admirer of Corona, a player he signed for Porto in 2015. Asked about the Mexican international by Fútbol Picante a few months ago, the Sevilla head coach: “I would welcome him with open arms, without thinking about it. He’s been one of the best players in the Portuguese league in recent years.”
