FC Barcelona are interested in signing Sevilla defender Jules Koundé in order to bolster their defensive spine, as per Mundo Deportivo.
Sevilla, however, are not willing to compromise on the asking fee. Although the Andalusian club are interested in certain Barça players, most notably full-back Sergiño Dest, they prioritise a high transfer fee over any swap deals that might lower the fee. Right now, Sevilla are adamant on receiving no less than €60 million.
Jules Koundé has been Europe’s most coveted young central defender for a while now, with Premier League giants Chelsea especially in hot pursuit of his signature since last summer.
Koundé has had yet another spectacular season, being an integral cog in the Sevilla defence that currently boast the best defensive record in La Liga.
