Sevilla Injury Update: Lucas Ocampos returns to training ahead of Real Madrid clash

An update on the fitness and availability of the Sevilla squad has been provided today ahead of their match against Real Madrid on Sunday.

According to Marca, Ocampos has returned to training after missing the game against Valencia. The Argentinian had some minor discomfort in his hamstring, which he has now overcome and will therefore be in action at the Bernabeu.

This is a huge boss for manager Quique Sánchez Flores, as he will be able to use Ocampos as a left-winger now that Marcos Acuña will be out for the next few weeks with a thigh problem. The Sevilla manager gave the squad two days rest after the draw at the Mestalla with the group returning to training on Wednesday morning.

Kike Salas was a notable absentee from the morning session. The home-grown player played the entire game against Valencia, but is now suffering from a slight strain, which was caused by the the significant effort he has put in after several weeks on the sidelines.

However, the club are optimistic that he will be fit for the game against Los Blancos. Ideally, they want the defender to be ready for this match so that they can deploy a five-man backline.
