Large sections of the Sevilla fanbase on Saturday made use of the opportunity to take firm aim at the club’s board.
This comes amid mounting unrest with developments behind the scenes in Andalusia.
For those not aware, tensions have long been brewing amongst the Sevilla faithful.
As much comes with the Nervionenses having been left increasingly bemused by their side’s fall from grace, going from consistent contenders in Europe to battling relegation last season.
Much of the blame for these woes has been placed upon the shoulders of president José María del Nido Carrasco, as well as those in the boardroom at the club.
Ahead of their side’s La Liga meeting with Atlético Madrid on Sunday, Sevilla’s supporters, in turn, made their grievances known once more.
As per Mundo Deportivo, amid heated scenes outside The Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán, loud and persistent chants were heard, as follows:
“Board resign,” “Get out of Sevilla, I don’t want you anymore,” and “Junior, go now!”
