Sevilla consider new bid for Anthony Martial

It took Manchester United less than 24 hours to tell Sevilla that Anthony Martial would only leave on their terms.

The Premier League club want half the player’s salary paid plus €10 million for the loan deal, according to Marca.

Sevilla won’t pay that price as they already believe that the original offer of €4 million they put on the table was sufficient. They are now considering waiting a few days and studying whether to launch a final offer while sporting director Monchi looks at more affordable options for their attack.

The Andalusian club could raise their offer and hope that the player will also do his part in the deal. United are said to be reluctant to let Martial leave on loan; they see him as a player who can help them over the coming months when injuries and Covid-19 could continue to impact teams.

Martial is believed to be keen on a move to Sevilla but it remains to be seen whether Monchi will make another move or pull out of the deal.
