Sevilla close to signing Manchester United youngster Hannibal Mejbri

As reported by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Sevilla are leading the race to sign Hannibal Mejbri. The Spanish team are pushing to sign the player and agree and on a verbal pact in order to finalise the deal.

Premier League side Everton also hold a strong interest in the player and have spoken to both the club and the player’s camp. The 20-year-old has also attracted interest from Freiburg and Olympique Lyonnais, however, neither club are in advanced negotiations.

The versatile midfielder has declared Sevilla as his preferred destination and therefore they will sit down with United to discuss the terms of the loan. An option to make the deal permanent is likely to be included in the deal, as well as a buy-back clause.

The Tunisia international decided not to participate in AFCON to sort his club future, which has significantly aided the progression of the loan deal.
