Sevilla are close to finalising negotiations with Tottenham regarding the transfer of Bryan Gil, reports Fabrizio Romano.
Los Nervionenses have been struggling to find their rhythm all season. Despite finishing in the Champions League spots in 2022, they currently occupy 13th place in La Liga, just two points above the relegation zone.
The Andaluz outfit are in the market to find reinforcements and have identified Gil as a potential transfer target. Sevilla would not be unfamiliar territory for the Spaniard as he came through the club’s youth academy.
According to Romano, Sevilla are closing in on a deal that would see Gil arrive on loan from Tottenham until the end of the season, with Los Nervionenses having no option of purchasing the player permanently in June.
It is believed that Sevilla have already scheduled a medical appointment for the 21-year-old.
Gil has been struggling for minutes under Antoinio Conte all season and he only made 11 appearances in all competitions. A loan spell at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán could help him accumulate playing time under his belt.
