Sevilla head coach Quique is ready to afford loan signing Hannibal Mejbri his first start for the club this weekend.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have today provided an insight into developments behind the scenes in Andalusia.
Midfielder Hannibal, for his part, linked up with Sevilla last month, as part of a loan deal from Premier League giants Manchester United.
His time in La Liga, however, has since proven something of a turbulent affair.
After being publicly scolded by his manager for his attitude following a training ground bust-up fresh off his arrival, Hannibal has since managed to piece together just three appearances, all off the bench, for a grand total of 37 minutes.
Amid something of a midfield crisis at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán, though, this weekend, the 21-year-old at long last looks set to be handed an extended chance to impress.
As per the aforementioned MD, with Djibril Sow suspended, and all of Nemanja Gudelj, Joan Jordán and Lucien Agoumé sidelined through injury, Hannibal is in line to feature from the off when Sevilla play host to Real Sociedad in La Liga on Saturday afternoon.
Based on the latest developments at the Nervionenses’ training ground, the 27-time capped international will join Boubakary Soumaré in a new-look engine room pairing for the clash.
