Sevilla star explains decision to reject summer exit offers

A leading member of the defensive ranks at La Liga outfit Sevilla has on Tuesday provided an insight into the reasoning behind his decision to stay put with the club over the summer.

The player in question? Loïc Badé.

The name of stopper Badé, of course, took its place front and centre in the headlines in Seville throughout much of the summer transfer window.

This came after word was forthcoming that the France international had made his way onto the wishlist of a number of clubs, in particular AS Roma, and Stuttgart.

In the end, Badé made the call to stay put, before swiftly putting pen to paper on

Speaking to the media on Tuesday, the subject of as much was, in turn, put to the 24-year-old himself.

And Badé, as cited by Mundo Deportivo, went on to assure that he simply ‘feels very good’ at The Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán, explaining:

“I have changed clubs many times since I became a professional and I feel very good here. I feel stable. That is why I wanted to stay here. I feel very good, I have good feelings and the truth is that it is good news for me to renew with Sevilla FC. I am very happy. Now I am focused on my work. I spoke with Víctor Orta and told him that I was fine here.”
