An up-and-coming member of the attacking ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona is attracting widespread transfer interest at present.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who highlight Hamza Abdelkarim as the player in question.
Hamza for his part first linked up with Barcelona on loan from Al Ahly back in January. From here, the 18-year-old did enough to convince the Blaugrana to make his transfer a permanent one during the summer.
Aware of his goalscoring talents, Hansi Flick, in turn, afforded Hamza a chance to impress as part of his first-team setup during pre-season in Catalunya’s capital.
And the 18-year-old managed precisely that, finding the net in several friendly fixtures, giving rise to a La Liga debut in Barca’s drubbing of Rayo Vallecano late last month.
And such exploits, as alluded to above, did not go at all unnoticed across the continent…
As per a report from Sport, Abdelkarim has attracted interest by way of ‘several teams’ over recent weeks. The Camp Nou brass, in turn, recently responded by tying their young hitman down to a new-and-improved contract.
Deco and co, as a result, remain calm when it comes to Abdelkarim’s future with the club.
