Sergio Reguilón is set to remain at Tottenham this season despite not being part of Antonio Conte’s plans, communicate AS.
The Spanish full-back has been linked with a move to Nottingham Forest earlier this week, however, it appears as though Reguilón will not leave Spurs this transfer window.
Barcelona have also considered making a bid for the 25-year-old in the event that they are unable to sign Marcos Alonso. According to reports, they will complete the signing of the Chelsea left-back once they have organised their finances, making the signing of Reguilón redundant.
Following his arrival from Real Madrid in the summer of 2020, Reguilón was a regular starter under the tenure of José Mourinho. However, everything changed with Conte’s appointment. Under the Italian, the Spanish international failed to find his place in the starting XI. His last game as a Tottenham player was on the 16th of April, in a narrow defeat against Brighton.
