Sergio Ramos ruled out of Champions League second leg tie

Sergio Ramos picked up a red card for a foul on Gabriel Jesus in Wednesday night’s Champions League first leg tie against Manchester City and will miss the second leg in Manchester as a result.

In the 86th minute, a careless pass from Casemiro was latched onto by Jesus and as the striker headed towards goal, Ramos gave him a nudge just outside the area and the Madrid captain was given his marching orders.

It was Ramos’ first red card of the season, however the central defender is the most booked and red-carded player in the history of Real Madrid, La Liga and the Champions League.
