According to journalist Francesc Aguilar, talks between Saúl Ñíguez’s agent Jonathan Barnett and Manchester United are advancing.
United are reportedly now frontrunners over rivals Liverpool for the 26-year-old, who has also been linked with a move to Barcelona. The Saúl-Antoine Griezmann swap deal has, however, lost momentum over the past 48 hours. The clubs have still not reached an agreement and it now appears that the Old Trafford outfit are keen on the midfielder.
Saúl still has five years left to run on his contract at Atlético Madrid, having signed a nine-year deal in 2017.
