Samu Chukwueze’s transfer to AC Milan is almost complete

Samu Chukwueze’s departure from Villarreal is well underway, and the player looks set for a move to AC Milan.

According to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the 24-year-old Nigerian forward has reached an agreement with Milan. In a matter of hours, Chukwueze is expected to become a part of the Italian side.

The next steps involve Chukwueze traveling to Milan for his medical and official signing with the Rossoneri. The operation is moving swiftly, and Milan are eager to announce the signing as soon as possible, especially since they want him to join their ongoing tour of the United States under Stefano Pioli’s guidance.

To secure Chukwueze, Milan will pay Villarreal an amount estimated to be between €25m and €30m. The Nigerian player had a contract until 2024 with Villarreal but had no intention of renewing it.

Chukwueze will leave the club where he played over 200 games, registering 74 goal involvements, as per Transfermarkt.
