Ronaldo: “If Alexis Sánchez doesn’t do well at Inter, the door will be open for him at Valladolid.”

Brazilian legend Ronaldo has opened his arms to Alexis Sánchez, offering him a way back to La Liga with Real Valladolid, according to AS.

As a majority share owner of the Blanquivioletas, Ronaldo is making the right noises to suggest that he wants to take Real Valladolid to the next level – and the Chilean would be a statement signing. The Manchester United forward who is on a season-long loan to Inter has not been the same player since leaving Arsenal. Nevertheless, Ronaldo sees that the former Barcelona forward has something to offer.

On a Zoom call, he said: “Alexis Sánchez has had success wherever he’s gone. He is a top-quality player. If he doesn’t do well at Inter, the door will be very much open for him to come here and play with us.”

This overt gesture has certainly turned heads, but whether it will be enough to get a player of Sánchez’s calibre is another thing. The 31-year-old has a reported salary of an eye-watering €450,000 per week.
