Ronaldo aims to keep Real Valladolid in Spain’s top flight

Speaking to supporters of Real Valladolid via a conference call, club owner Ronaldo Nazário spoke about his plans to ensure the club’s status in the Primera División.

Valladolid currently sit 15th, four points off the relegation spots and the Brazilian legend told fans that his goal for the season is survival when La Liga eventually resumes. “We want to play right to the end and maintain our Primera División status.”

On the issue of COVID-19 and the effect it’s having on the club, he added: “The players are following the plans from our nutrition professionals, physios and medical staff with responsibility. We’ll have to speak to the entities involved in order to give the players time to return to full fitness before starting back into the next round of games.”
