Ronaldinho released from prison after paying €1.2m bail fee

Ronaldinho has ended his stay at a jail in Paraguay after paying a €1.2m bail fee, according to AS.

He will now be placed under house arrest in Asunción, the capital of Paraguay, alongside his brother.

After 32 days in prison, judge Gustavo Amarilla granted the former Brazilian star conditional release upon payment of his bail. The 40-year-old was originally held in custody for using a false passport in a hotel in Asunción.

Ronaldinho will spend the entire process at the Hotel Palmaroga in downtown Asunción, just over two miles from the prison where he stayed for the last month.
