Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman spoke to the media ahead of his team’s Copa del Rey final versus Athletic Club on Saturday and discussed the potential return of Gerard Piqué.
“Piqué was called up last week, but it was too soon against Real Madrid because it was only three, four sessions then. He is much better now, trained a lot this week and he can play tomorrow, yes.“
Piqué suffered a lateral ligament sprain in his right knee in the 3-0 Copa del Rey semi-final win over Sevilla which helped Barça come from behind to reach the final.
