Speaking in an interview with Barça TV, Barcelona head coach Ronald Koeman spoke about the club’s Dutch midfielder, Frenkie de Jong.
“I will restore De Jong to where he used to play at Ajax and with the Holland national team. Frenkie is the future of Barcelona.”
Koeman also described De Jong as one of the best players he has ever coached. “There are many. Ibrahimović at Ajax, Schneider, Frenkie de Jong, Wijnaldum, Van Dijk, Depay, etc. I can’t say for sure because I still haven’t coached Messi yet.”
