In an interview with AS, Rodrygo discussed the atmosphere at the Santiago Bernabéu on European nights.
“These fans are incredible. After the games against PSG, Chelsea and City, the younger players here have realised why the Bernabéu is such a legendary place on European nights.
“In the 89th minute [against Man City] we didn’t believe a third miracle was possible and in our heads, we thought we were practically out, but then my goal came and that changed everything.
“When I scored my first goal, the Bernabéu carried us. Before that goal, I would never have thought that I could be the hero in this game, but after the equaliser everything was special.”
