Rodrygo on Real Madrid future: “I’m not planning to leave at all”

Real Madrid star Rodrygo has committed himself to the club and revealed that he is ‘very happy’ with his situation, which has put an end to speculation linking him with a move away from the Bernabéu.

The Brazilian has no plans to leave the club as he has been made to feel like an important part of the project. His entourage are confident with the club’s strategy and don’t see their client changing his stance on his future.

The club outlined their intention to keep Rodrygo when they offered him a new contract months ago. The forward put pen to paper on a deal which commits him to the club until 2028, with a €1B release clause also included in the lucrative contract.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, the 23-year-old is completely focused on the UEFA Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday and confirmed that he has no intention to leave Los Blancos.

He said: “It has not crossed my mind to leave the club of my life, Real Madrid.

“Some of my words were taken out of context. I’m very happy at Real Madrid, it’s a dream to be here, I’m not planning to leave at all. Now, let’s focus on the 15h UCL.”

Recent reports have linked Rodrygo with a move away from Madrid due to the imminent arrivals of Kylian Mbappé and Endrick, who will add to the club’s plethora of attacking options. The Brazil International has been attracting interest from the Premier League, however his interview has dismissed these links.
