Rodrygo Goes has given an interview to Goal in which he talks about Real Madrid’s situation in La Liga and the fact that he was very close to signing for Barcelona.
Close to becoming a Barcelona player
“When my father told me the news… I always tell this story. I had two shirts: one for Barça and one for Real Madrid and I had to choose. It was very easy for me to choose. Everything was agreed with Barcelona. It was a surprise for me, I didn’t expect Real Madrid to come in. It was one of the happiest moments of my life,” he explains in words transcribed by Mundo Deportivo.
Is a comeback in La Liga possible?
“It’s always possible. We have to believe until the end. I think, in my first season, we were also many points behind Atlético and then we came back. It’s very difficult but we’re going to try to come back and try to win all the remaining games and see what happens.”
