Real Madrid forward Rodrygo has spoken on the back of Los Blancos’ meeting with Napoli. Real, and the Brazilian, marked their return to action on Wednesday night.
Fresh off a dominant three-goal downing of Cádiz at the weekend, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops turned their attentions towards matters on the continent, in a Champions League group stage showdown with Italian champions Napoli.
A thrilling encounter ensued, with Real having ultimately emerged on the right side of a 4-2 scoreline.
The aforementioned Rodrygo, meanwhile, was amongst the goals once more, to take his tally to a remarkable 10 direct goal contributions in his last four appearances.
In turn, it came as a major source of concern when, inside the game’s closing five minutes, the Brazilian was hooked from proceedings in evident discomfort.
Speaking to the media post-match, Rodrygo was therefore asked whether he has picked up a fresh injury problem.
The 22-year-old, though, was quick to allay any and all fears surrounding his wellbeing, assuring that he was suffering with little more than a bout of cramp:
“In the last play, I got a little cramp, but now I’m fine.”
