Robert Lewandowski drops Barcelona future hint with latest comments

Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski this evening dropped something of a hint regarding his future with the club.

The name of frontman Lewandowski has of course long taken its place in the spotlight in Catalunya’s capital.

This comes amid what has proven a largely underwhelming campaign all told on the part of the Polish international.

Singled out for regular criticism on the part of the Barcelona faithful for not only his goalscoring efforts, but all-round contribution to Xavi’s side, speculation has in turn begun to mount that the 35-year-old could be moved on come the summer.

If the latest comments on the part of Lewandowski himself are anything to go by, however, then as much looks altogether unlikely to be on the cards.

Speaking in an interview with Diario Sport on Thursday, the former Bayern Munich standout was drawn on his situation in Catalunya, with a particular emphasis on Barca’s return to the revamped ‘Spotify Camp Nou’

And Lewandowski was not at all shy in confirming his intention to be present on the Blaugrana’s books for their return to base – planned for November of 2024 – in explaining:

“Yes, of course, it is one of the objectives, to play at the Camp Nou again. It is a magical stadium, a magical field, and yes, of course I want to play there.”

He continued:

“I feel very good in the city, my family too, we are very happy.”
