Revealed: The message Barcelona’s fans sent to president Joan Laporta during Granada draw

Sections of the Barcelona crowd in attendance at the club’s meeting with Granada on Sunday made use of the opportunity to make clear their feelings with president Joan Laporta.

That’s according to Movistar Plus+, who have this evening provided an insight into the extent of the discontent in Montjuïc 24 hours ago.

Barca, of course, marked their return to action on Sunday, ultimately enduring an evening to forget.

Playing host to relegation-battling Granada fresh off a morale-boosting pair of successive victories, the expectation, understandably, was that Xavi’s troops would make short work of their struggling opponents.

When all was said and done, however, the Blaugrana were forced to come from behind, just to secure for themselves a share of the spoils in a 3-3 draw.

As proceedings entered the closing stages in Catalunya, the atmosphere inside the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, in turn, unsurprisingly began to take a turn for the worse.

The disappointed home crowd made their frustrations very much known once more, amid what has proven a hugely underwhelming campaign all told.

A number of Barca’s stars were targeted, with under-fire boss Xavi having come in for widespread criticism, too.

And, as alluded to above, on Monday, an insight into a round of furious chants aimed at president Joan Laporta – who was in attendance at the clash – has also been provided.

As revealed by the aforementioned Movistar, in the closing stages on Sunday, the home crowd could be heard belting out a chorus of:

“¡Barça sí, Laporta no!”, translating, evidently, as “Barca yes, Laporta no!” – a message to the Spanish patron to pack his bags and depart the club at the earliest opportunity…
