Mbappé’s terms are due to expire upon the season’s close, meaning the France international will become a free agent with a view to next season.

The runaway favourites to strike a deal for his signature are Spanish giants Real Madrid, who have been locked in negotiations with Mbappé’s team of representatives for several weeks now.

In fact, some sources have this evening gone as far as to point towards an agreement between the former Monaco talent and the Santiago Bernabéu brass as being all but assured.

So, what of the details of Mbappé’s sit-down meeting with Nasser Al-Khelaifi?

An insight into as much has been forthcoming by way of L’Equipe, who have revealed that the prolific goalscorer actually informed PSG’s president of his decision to depart this past Tuesday.

And, finally, Mbappé sent one final request to Al-Khelaifi and the PSG hierarchy – Do not send me any further contract renewal offers.
