Real Valladolid set to sign Real Madrid defender Javi Sánchez

Real Valladolid are set to sign Real Madrid defender Javi Sánchez, according to Mundo Deportivo.

Sánchez was loaned to Valladolid last summer and despite not having featured in any league games during his spell at the Castilian club, they’re close to completing the signing. The 23-year-old centre-back, who has spent 15 years at Real Madrid, will join for a fee believed to be in the region of €3m.

Sánchez could be used as a replacement for Mohammed Salisu, with the highly-rated 21-year-old close to making a €12m move to Rennes in Ligue 1.
