Real Sociedad trio remain absent from training ahead of Cádiz

Three key members of Imanol’s Real Sociedad squad were absent from training once more on Sunday afternoon.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have provided an update on the latest developments behind the scenes in San Sebastián.

Sociedad, of course, are fresh off a much-needed return to winning ways on Saturday.

After being condemned to a fourth successive defeat across all competitions by Paris Saint-Germain in midweek, Imanol’s troops turned their attentions back towards matters on the domestic front, in a La Liga meeting with Granada.

And, when all was said and done at Los Cármenes, André Silva proved himself the hero, putting the finishing touches on a remarkable 3-2 comeback.

As much came despite La Real having been without the services of a number of key players, not least the trio of Takefusa Kubo, Ander Barrenetxea, and Arsen Zakharyan.

And, 24 hours on, all three remain absent from group duties with boss Imanol’s squad.

Their respective status’ for next Friday’s La Liga meeting with Cádiz, as a result, remains somewhat up in the air.

On a more positive note for the Sociedad faithful, though, both Mikel Oyarzabal and Aritz Elustondo were present, despite having missed out against Granada on Saturday.
