The latest training session held by Real Sociedad on Friday confirmed some welcome positive news on the personnel front.
Imanol’s troops are currently in the midst of final preparations for their return to action, this weekend.
After an altogether underwhelming start to the campaign, Real Sociedad are primed to make the trip to the Estadio José Zorrilla on Saturday, for a La Liga meeting with Real Valladolid.
On Friday, the Txuri-urdin were in turn put through their paces in a final training preparatory session in San Sebastian.
And the headline news stemming from as much was the presence of Brais Méndez.
Midfielder Brais was recently condemned to a fresh spell on the sidelines, after suffering a recurrence of a foot injury picked up all the way back in March.
Despite fears of another lengthy absence, though, just three weeks on, the 27-year-old has been deemed well enough to return to training.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:
‘Brais Méndez is facing a new phase of his recovery by returning this afternoon to the group dynamics, taking part in Real’s last training session before travelling to Valladolid.’
Brais will not be part of Real Sociedad’s matchday squad this weekend, but could well mark his return to competitive action next week.
