Real Sociedad star claims Real Madrid are ‘stilling missing’ Toni Kroos

An unnamed member of the first-team ranks at Real Sociedad has revealed his take that Real Madrid are still recovering from the summer loss of Toni Kroos.

Los Blancos, of course, marked their return to action on Saturday night.

After making the trip to Anoeta for a meeting with the aforementioned Real Sociedad, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops ultimately emerged on the right side of a 2-0 result.

And yet, post-match, many were quick to suggest that, perhaps, the Spanish champions were not all that deserving of their victory.

Boss Carlo Ancelotti was one such individual, who revealed his opinion that:

“We probably didn’t deserve to win because Real Sociedad played very well and pushed hard.”

As much came as Real Madrid at times struggled for control in the middle of the park.

This has proven the case on more than one occasion over the early weeks of the term, with one Real Sociedad star, as alluded to above, adamant that the absence of Toni Kroos is the key factor as to why.

In quotes secured by Guillermo Rai of The Athletic on the back of last night’s action at Anoeta, an anonymous La Real player explained:

“You can still tell they are missing Toni Kroos. There is no one like him in there now.”
