Real Sociedad and Almería arrive at an agreement over the transfer of Umar Sadiq

Real Sociedad and Almería have struck a deal over the transfer of Umar Sadiq, as broken by Fabrizio Romano in the early hours of this morning.

Yesterday it was reported that the Basque outfit began talks with Almería to sign the 25-year-old following Edinson Cavani’s decision to join Valencia. Real Sociedad were in the market to fill the void left by Alexander Isak, who was sold to Newcastle United for €70m last week.

According to the agreement, Los Txuri-Urdin will pay €25m in order to secure the services of Umar Sadiq. Almería will also receive 15% of the future sale of the Nigerian striker.

Today he is expected to complete his medical and sign his contract before being announced as a Real Sociedad player.

Umar Sadiq played a key role in helping Almería get promoted to the top flight by scoring 18 goals in the second division last season.
