Real Madrid’s stance on Karim Benzema reunion confirmed

The stance of the powers that be at Real Madrid, regarding the potential return of Karim Benzema, has been confirmed late this evening.

The name of frontman Benzema has of course returned to the forefront of the European media headlines across the week to date.

This comes after word was forthcoming that the Frenchman had been excluded from the Al-Ittihad travelling squad bound for Dubai, after failing to report back to base in Jeddah following a recent holiday.

With Benzema’s recent form in front of goal having also seen the former Ballon d’Or holder come under scrutiny, it has in turn been suggested that he could secure an exit from the Saudi Pro League, just six months on from his arrival.

Amid claims that he could even be made available for loan, a whole host of clubs have been tipped as potential landing spots, with the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United all understood to be keeping a close eye on the situation.

What, though, of the possibility of Benzema taking his talents back to Spain, to reunite with Real Madrid?

It is of course common knowledge that the Real brass are keen to add to the club’s options at centre-forward, culminating in inevitable suggestions that a short-term reunion between the parties could yet be on the cards this month.

If the latest word stemming from the press late on Wednesday is anything to go by, however, the Blancos faithful need not get their hopes up.

This comes amid confirmation that Florentino Pérez and co. have no intention of sanctioning a move for the now-36-year-old.

As per the reliable José Félix Díaz of Marca, Benzema, as reported, has indeed set his sights on a departure from Al-Ittihad.

Real, however, will not even take into consideration bringing him back to Spain’s capital, as is club policy with all Blancos legends.
