Real Madrid’s path to Kylian Mbappé clear after Arsenal & Liverpool moves ‘explored’

Yet another insight into the ongoing transfer saga surrounding Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappé has today been provided.

The info comes courtesy of The Independent’s Miguel Delaney, who points towards a pair of Premier League clubs, until recently, as having actually been in the running for the 25-year-old.

Moves to both Arsenal and Liverpool, it is claimed, were ‘explored’ by Mbappé and his entourage.

In the end, however, neither were willing to meet the financial demands outlined by the frontman, the kind of figures which would have broken the wage structure at either The Emirates, or Anfield.

As much has in turn left Spanish giants Real Madrid with an almost bizarrely clear run at Mbappé.

Los Blancos have long been viewed as the World Cup winner’s most likely landing spot, ahead of the expiration of his PSG contract in the summer.

Florentino Pérez and co, however, could never in their wildest dreams have envisioned what has essentially become a one-horse race for one of world football’s standout players.

Considerable distance remains between the parties when it comes to a definitive agreement on the terms of a contract in Spain’s capital, but it now looks like just a matter of time before Mbappé indeed makes his long-standing Santiago Bernabéu wish come true.
