Real Madrid’s optimism of signing Kylian Mbappé this summer grows

Real Madrid’s optimism of signing Kylian Mbappé this summer has grown, according to Spanish journalist Ramón Álvarez de Mon. He reveals that there are “significant advances” in negotiations, and even reports that a deal could be completed before pre-season begins.

This new advancement comes only days after Mbappé’s team met with a close representative of the Emir of Qatar on Wednesday, to discuss his future at Paris Saint-Germain. Subsequently, it was claimed that the PSG star was given an ultimatum by the Qatari owner: either agree to a contract renewal or be sold during this summer window.

With this latest report, it has been revealed that Madrid will now have to pay more than they originally thought to acquire the French forward. Furthermore, they are still ready to make a historical investment; Florentino Pérez has been preparing the club’s finances to make this transfer happen.

El Chiringuito originally said PSG had placed a €200m price tag on Mbappé. The club have already splashed out €108.5m this summer on Jude Bellingham, Fran García and the loan signing of Joselu, according to Transfermarkt
