La Liga giants Real Madrid have all but sewn up an agreement for their next high-profile signing.
That’s according to Relevo, who point towards Trent Alexander-Arnold as the player primed to link up with Carlo Ancelotti’s star-studded squad
The name of defender Alexander-Arnold has of course dominated the headlines in Spain’s capital for several weeks now.
This comes after widespread confirmation was forthcoming that Real Madrid had moved their planned summer swoop for the England international forward to January.
Los Blancos, in fact, even went as far as to table an opening offer for his signature.
As much was rejected without so much as a 2nd thought on the part of Liverpool, who have since moved to make clear that Alexander-Arnold is not available this month.
But those behind the scenes at the Santiago Bernabéu remain hard at work to put the finishing touches on an agreement for the summer.
And, if the latest word stemming from Spain on Monday is anything to go by, then such efforts appear to be on the verge of bearing fruit.
As per a report from Relevo transfer insider Jorge C Picon:
‘Sources close to Real Madrid suggest that it is “98% done”.’
