La Liga giants Real Madrid are keen on securing the signature of a member of the defensive ranks at Liverpool this summer.
That’s according to French outlet Le Parisien, who point towards Ibrahima Konaté as the player in question.
It is of course common knowledge at this point that the brass at Spanish champions Real Madrid are on the lookout for reinforcements at the back with a view to next season.
Recent weeks alone have see a whole host of high-profile stoppers from across the continent linked with Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
One such name comes in the form of the aforementioned Ibrahima Konaté, whom it was tentatively suggested Los Blancos could sanction a move for this summer, at the right price.
And now, as alluded to above, the interest of Florentino Pérez and co. has been reiterated.
As per a report from Le Parisien:
‘Ibrahima Konaté has an offer of extension from Liverpool that he has not yet accepted. His profile appeals to other big clubs including Real Madrid.’
It is also noted that Paris Saint-Germain have denied any interest in the stopper’s services.
Konaté, for his part, is due to see his contract terms at Anfield come to a close in the summer of 2026.
