Real Madrid’s fans could be handed their Arda Güler wish vs Mallorca

All of a Real Madrid persuasion desperate to see youngster Arda Güler at long last afforded his maiden La Liga start could well see their prayers answered this weekend.

That’s according to Relevo, who have provided an insight into Carlo Ancelotti’s expected plans for the weekend.

Real will mark their return to action on Saturday evening, when they make the trip to Son Moix for a La Liga meeting with RCD Mallorca.

The matchup comes smack bang in the middle of what is an absolutely pivotal week for Los Blancos, sandwiched between a pair of Champions League quarter-final clashes with Manchester City.

After battling their way to a 3-3 draw in the tie’s opener this past Tuesday, the capital giants will fly out to Manchester early next week, ahead of the return leg at The Etihad on Wednesday.

It should come as little surprise, then, to hear of changes being in store in Carlo Ancelotti’s XI this weekend.

As per the aforementioned Relevo, a whole host of Real’s star performers are expected to be afforded a much-needed rest.

And stepping into starting roles at Son Moix as a result, should be the likes of Luka Modrić, Brahim Díaz, Fran García, and Joselu.

Two particularly noteworthy names in Real’s predicted XI to face Mallorca, though, come in the form of Éder Militão, and Arda Güler.

The former is of course fresh off recovering from an ACL tear, therefore widely tipped to feature from the off on Saturday, in the hopes of Militão showcasing his readiness to step into Los Merengues’ backline in Manchester.

After impressing across a number of appearances off the bench, meanwhile, the time finally appears right for Arda Güler to notch just his 2nd start in Real Madrid colours, and first in La Liga.
