Jude Bellingham has been linked with a move to Real Madrid as Luka Modric’s replacement. Bellingham is Madrid’s ideal replacement for when Modric steps aside, according to AS.
The England international will cost around €100m. Madrid, as reported by Cadena SER, are considering making an offer to Dortmund of around €90m, but there are clubs in England who are willing to pay over €100m, which could make the deal more expensive.
Liverpool and Chelsea are reportedly interested in Bellingham. AS previously reported Real Madrid’s interest on 31 March. With Bellingham, Madrid would be set in midfield for the coming years. Aurélien Tchouaméni, the club’s recent signing from AS Monaco, is the pivot of the future. Camavinga and Valverde are set for big roles over the coming years in midfield and they could be joined by the hugely talented Bellingham.
The former Birmingham player has no release clause. That, coupled with the fact that his contract with Dortmund runs until 2025, makes negotiations with the German club inevitable.
German outlet Bild has reported that Dortmund will not accept any offer below €100m. The operation will not take place this summer. It will be for next summer, in 2023, when the player will be 19 years old and have a World Cup under his belt.
