Real Madrid closer to signing France international Aurélien Tchouaméni

Mundo Deportivo report that Real Madrid are closer to completing the signing of France international Aurélien Tchouaméni from Monaco.

The reported fee is believed to be in the region €50 million and Real Madrid sources say that the deal is progressing well, however, in order for Los Blancos to sign the 22-year-old, Madrid need to sell players.

As things stand, Marcelo, Gareth Bale and Isco will leave this summer as the club will not renew their contracts, which expire in June. Dani Ceballos, Luka Jovic, Mariano, Eden Hazard and Jesús Vallejo could all potentially leave the Santiago Bernabéu.

Tchouaméni has a contract with Monaco until 2024 and the French club are not going to make negotiations easy for Madrid, who asked about the player in January. Monaco asked for around €100 million at the time. It now appears that they have lowered that price to €50 million.
