Real Madrid target Bayern Munich and Canada left-back Alphonso Davies

Real Madrid remain proactive in bolstering their squad, and among their targets is Alphonso Davies. This summer, adding Jude Bellingham to a midfield already consisting of Fede Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelién Tchouaméni, they have reinforced their midfield for the next decade, complementing the existing talent in attack, Rodrygo and Vinícius Jr.

With the midfield and forward positions already set in stone, they now turn their attention to Davies, the Bayern Munich left-back, who continues to be linked with Madrid, as per Marca. With the injury-prone Ferland Mendy and Fran García at left-back, Los Blancos are desperate to sign a star player that not only adds quality to that position but also adds longevity. Although Davies is not the only target in consideration, Marca consider him to be the one that Real Madrid currently prioritise.

The Canadian embodies the recent trend of impressive signings, offering a blend of talent, youth, and a strong desire to be a Madridista. While Davies is under contract with Bayern until June 2025, he has declined to renew.

Davies has unique abilities, namely his blistering speed and power to go with his technical skills. At just 22 years of age, he can still improve on what he’s showcased for Bayern over the last few years.
