Real Madrid sweating over Dani Ceballos ahead of Osasuna clash

La Liga giants Real Madrid are sweating over the wellbeing of a member of the club’s midfield ranks, ahead of their return to action this weekend.

The player in question? Dani Ceballos.

Spanish international Ceballos, of course, is fresh off a memorable contribution to Real’s latest victory, when the former Arsenal man laid on Arda Güler for the Turk’s maiden goal in the colours of Los Blancos.

As revealed by Melchor Ruiz of COPE, however, Ceballos faces a race against time to be fit to feature in the club’s upcoming meeting with Osasuna.

This comes with the 27-year-old having sat out training on Thursday, owing to a bout of ‘muscular overload’.

Ceballos, of course, would likely have been considered little more than a late-game substitute option by boss Carlo Ancelotti on Saturday.

But his potential absence will nevertheless come as a blow, with the midfield all-rounder a regular contributor off the bench for Real across the season to date.
