Real Madrid summer departure ‘hopes’ to return to the club

Nico Paz, sold by La Liga giants Real Madrid during the summer, is hopeful of sealing a return to the club at some point down the line.

That’s according to Marca, who have on Friday provided an insight into the future of the midfield starlet.

Paz, for his part, has seen his name take its place front and centre across the world of football over recent days.

This comes after the 20-year-old, after being afforded his senior debut for the Argentine national team, laid on an assist for Lionel Messi, before seeing his talents hailed by the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner.

“He’s got a lot of quality and he’s very young. He understands the game very well. Beyond his age, he’s a player who has an impressive head. That’s why he is where he is,” Messi explained after a 6-0 drubbing of Bolivia.

Paz’s explosion onto the international stage comes fresh off what has been a stellar opening to the campaign at club level for the youngster, too.

After coming to the decision to depart the aforementioned Real Madrid during the summer, Paz put pen to paper on terms with Cesc Fabregas’ Serie A newcomers Como.

And the midfielder has since shone bright in Italy, showcasing flashes of absolute brilliance across his six appearances to date.

Keeping a close eye on as much along the way, meanwhile, are those in a position of power back at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Real included a buyback clause in their agreement with Como over Paz’s sale during the summer, which could well be activated down the line.

And, in the case of as much coming to fruition, the Argentine himself would be nothing short of delighted.

This comes amid confirmation on the part of Marca that ‘his hope is to be able to return to Madrid one day…’
