Borja Mayoral is very close to signing for AS Roma, according to Madrid-based journalist Arancha Rodriguez.
The 23-year-old has been linked with a move away from Real Madrid since completing a two-year loan spell at Primera side Levante. Among those interested in the striker’s signature were Valencia and Lazio, however it has been reported that he will sign for Serie A outfit Roma.
The Spanish giants would like to sell the player outright – considering that Mayoral has one year left on his contract with Los Blancos. However, according to Gianluca Di Marzio, Mayoral could sign a contract extension with Real and then join Roma on loan.
