Real Madrid head coach José Mourinho is giving consideration to affording a place in his next matchday setup to an up-and-coming member of the club’s defensive ranks.
The situation at the heart of Real Madrid’s backline has emerged as one of major concern ahead of Los Blancos’ post-international break return to action this weekend.
Ahead of playing host to Villarreal, the capital giants are without the suspended Dean Huijsen, and injured Raúl Asencio and Éder Militão. Ibrahima Konaté, meanwhile, is still recovering from a knock.
This leaves only Antonio Rüdiger as a certain senior option for Saturday.
With as much in mind, José Mourinho and his staff have begun looking towards Castilla for reinforcements. And according to Marca:
‘Oscar Naasei trained under Mourinho today in Real Madrid’s second training session of the week and is a potential option for inclusion in the squad against Villarreal.’
Naasei, for his part, is a highly-regarded 21-year-old centre-back, who linked up with Real Madrid this past summer from Granada.
